[edit] Funding by PERKIM accusation
I am removing the following paragraph:
In December 2004, Malaysian politician Datuk Annuar Musa alleged that RM 0.12 million (about USD 40,000) had gone from the Kelantan branch of the Malaysian Islamic Welfare Organisation (PERKIM) to PULO. These funds have been funneled into arms acquisition programs and training [1]. This represents approximately 10% of the revenue PERKIM obtained from sales of a timber concession which was directed into a slush fund.
The reason being this article which states that the politician later backtracked from the statement. If there are any further developments on this that I am unaware of, and that are worth putting in the article, then please do so. --Spondoolicks 09:42, 27 October 2005 (UTC)
[edit] Links to other groups possible?
I've recently read[2] of other groups such as "Gerakan Mujahadeen Islam Pattani" and "Barisan Revolusi Nasional." I wondered if they might be loosely connected.69.6.162.160 06:12, 8 August 2006 (UTC)Brian Pearson
- Such organisations are not fully-fledged organisations, merely small factions that collude with their activities; they are largely insignificant. Tanzeel 22:18, 8 August 2006 (UTC)
