Patty Judge

Patty Judge is the current Lieutenant Governor–elect and Secretary of Agriculture in the U.S State of Iowa. She was first elected to the office in 1998, and re-elected in 2002. She was the first woman ever to be elected to the office of Iowa Secretary of Agriculture.
She unsuccessfully sought the Democratic Nomination for the 2006 Iowa Gubernatorial race.
Before serving as Agriculture Secretary, she was elected to the Iowa Senate in 1992, and re-elected in 1996. She gave a walk through speech at the 2000 Democratic Convention in Los Angeles and at the 2004 Democratic Convention in Boston, Massachusetts.
On February 15, 2006, Patty Judge stepped down as a candidate for Governor of Iowa and announced her endorsement of Iowa Secretary of State Chet Culver, and became his running mate for Lt. Governor. On November 7, 2006, she was elected as Lieutenant Governor of Iowa
