Pattukottai is a town in the Indian state of Tamil Nadu. The town comes under the Thanjavur district of Tamil Nadu.
Its business mainly depends upon the surrounding villages. Most of the investments came to Pattukkottai from foreign countries like Singapore, Malaysia and Gulf regions. Now investments are coming from UK (London). Main towns around Pattukottai are Madukkur, Aranthangi, Thuvarankuruchi, Adiramapattinam, Muthupet, Orathanadu, and Pappanadu. Majority of the people around Pattukottai belong to Musugundan community.
Sengapuduthankadu a village comes under Thamarankottai Village administration is a native place of Pattukottai Kalyanasundaram [1] a famous people's poet.
Pattukottai Prabhakar is another famous person from the place. He is an accomplished writer of pocket novels.
Nadiyamman Kovil [2] is a famous Temple in Pattukottai.
