Pattabhirami Reddy Tikkavarapu

Pattabhirami Reddy Tikkavarapu (Pattabhi Rama Reddy), (b. February 19, 1919 in Nellore - d. May 6, 2006) was a famous Indian writer, film producer and director. He studied at Santhinikethan, Calcutta University and Columbia University.
He actively participated in the Emergency opposition movement, human rights movement, and child labour movements as Founder member of Peoples union for civil liberties. He also founded the organisation Concerned for Working Children (CWC).

Samskara was the first Kannada picture to win the National Film Award.
