Patrick west

Patrick West is a journalist and writer, born in London on September 30, 1974.

Son of the journalists Richard West and Mary Kenny, Patrick West attended Fox Primary School and Cardinal Vaughan Memorial School in London and Manchester University, earning a BA in History in 1996 and an MA in Cultural History in 1997. Among others, he has written for The Times, the New Statesman, The Daily Telegraph, The Irish Independent, The Irish Times, The Catholic Herald, Fortean Times, The Sydney Morning Herald and Living Marxism.

He is author of the books Conspicuous Compassion (Civitas, 2004), The Poverty of Multiculturalism (Civitas, 2005) and Beating Them At Their Own Game: How the Irish Conquered English Soccer (Liberties, 2006)

He lives between London, Dublin and Deal and supports Brentford FC. He is the brother of the journalist Ed West.
