Patrick Aloysius O'Boyle (1896 – August 10, 1987) was the first Roman Catholic Archbishop of Washington DC, serving from 1947 through 1973.

Born in Scranton, Pennsylvania, O'Boyle became a New York priest in 1921.

Known for his opposition to racism, he led the way to desegregation of the American school system by racially-integrating the Catholic schools of Washington years before the U.S. Supreme Court ruled segregation unconstitutional.
