Patricio Araujo

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Patricio Araujo is a Mexican footballer who currently plays for Chivas de Guadalajara as a midfielder.

He was called up to the Mexican U-17 team that won the 2005 FIFA U-17 World Championship in Peru. He wore the #4 shirt and was chosen as the team's captain. Often called the "golden generation" of Mexican football, great things are expected from this championship team. Araujo forced his way into the Chivas lineup, but he did not accompany the Mexican national team to the 2006 Central American and Caribbean Games, held in Cartagena, Colombia, because it conflicted with Chivas's Copa Libertadores campaign.
