Patricia Anderson (born June 4, 1966) was elected the 17th State Auditor of Minnesota in 2002. Prior to this she served as a council member (8 yrs) and as mayor (4 years) of Eagan, Minnesota. Before entering politics she was a successful businesswoman, and she earned an undergraduate degree from the University of Minnesota and later an M.A. in Public Administration from Hamline University.
In her 2002 campaign, Anderson defeated State Treasurer Carol Johnson (DFL). She was elected as Pat Anderson Awada, the name she used prior to her 2004 divorce from restauranteur John Awada.
In 2006, Anderson lost her bid for reelection to DFLer Rebecca Otto.
