Patch High School

Patch High School is an English language high school on Patch Barracks in Stuttgart, Germany. It is an American Department of Defense Education Activity school. The school was opened in 1979; its students are mostly military dependents whose guardians are stationed at Patch, Robinson Barracks, Panzer Kaserne, or Kelly Barracks. The school was named after Alexander McCarrell "Sandy" Patch, an officer of the United States Navy during World War II. PHS used to have students from grades 7-12 however at the start of the 2006-2007 school year the school changed to 9th-12th in order to have room for larger numbers of students predicted to enrol as more families moved to Stuttgart. Middle schools were created on Panzer Barracks and Robinson Barracks to be used by these middle school students.
