Patricia Ann Sheehan, also known as Patricia Sheehan Crosby (born September 7, 1931 in San Francisco, California - died January 14, 2006 in Beverly Hills, California) was an American actress and model. She was Playboy magazine's playmate of the month for its October 1958 issue.

[edit] Early life
Pat's father, Arthur Edmond Sheehan, was an automotive engineer and businessman and her mother, Gladys Anna Larson, worked at a hospital. Her parents had divorced in 1935 just a few years after she was born.
In 1942, her brother, Arthur Sheehan, a famous triple-A league pitcher, was drafted into the United States Army. Working as a gunner on a flying fortress, he was promoted to Staff Sergeant and died after his plane was shot down over Germany. Only two out of nine people survived. He was later added to the San Francisco Hall of Fame.
Her brother Ed is a Jehovah's Witness and was skilled soccer player in high school.

In 1949 she won the local Miss Milkmaid pageant which launched her career. Pat had her first chance at fame when she won first place in the Miss San Francisco Pageant of 1950: her prize was a diamond ring. She went on to sign a contract to be the Colgate Comedy Hour Skit Girl.
Pat dated and married George Duuglas Von-Ittu, a union official. They later divorced after a year of marriage. Shortly after the divorce, she participated in the Miss California Pageant of 1951. Two years later, in 1953, her father died of diabeties.

Pat was Playboy magazine's Playmate of the Month for October 1958, tied-in with Mara Corday. Her centerfold was photographed by Sam Wu. She was later on the front covers of Parade 9/65, People Today 12/56 and 6/58, Modern Man '57 and 10/58 , Escapade 6/57, Tempo 4/57 and 7/58, and 7/58, and TV Fan 10/56. She also modeled for TV Guide 7/56, Scene, Eye '60, Life '58, Gala 3/58, and even Comedy 7/53.
She was in the movies Gigi, Kismet, The Adventures of Haji Baba, The French Line, Daddy Long Legs, Blondie, as well as The NBC Comedy Hour. Agnes Moorehead was her acting coach during this period. Pat also became one of the six Goldwyn Girls in 1955.
Shortly after Bing Crosby's wife, Dixie Lee died of Ovarian cancer, he started dating Pat. Their relationship became very serious. He would fly to San Francisco to do his radio show, then would stop by Pat's place to pick her up for their date. Eventually. Bing proposed to Pat. Although very flattered, Pat thought about the age difference and turned him down.
On 4 May 1958, she married Bing's son Dennis Michael Crosby in Las Vegas, Nevada. They had three children: Gregory Crosby, Dennis Crosby Jr, and Patrick Anthony Crosby. Pat and Dennis divorced in 1964; she never remarried.
After divorcing Dennis Crosby, Pat dated a wide variety of famous men. She went out with Australian actor Rod Taylor. Pat liked him, but explained that he would cuss quite often. Not only that, but Rod Taylor caught her snooping through his files. They had an argument and then broke up. Later in the 60's, she dated Frank Sinatra.
For a time, Pat dated Elvis Presley; once she flew with him to Memphis to see his mother. She had even gone to dinner with Howard Hughes. She had also modeled with actor Marlon Brando.

Pat's mother died in 1980 from pneumonia.
In her later years, Pat lived in Van Nuys, California with her son Gregory, a Hollywood producer and screenwriter, and his wife Spice Williams, an actress and stuntwoman.
She had started taking hormone pills, which caused her to develop breast and uterine cancer. Pat died from a heart attack on 14 January 2006 in Beverly Hills, California.
