Pat Kiernan

Patrick ("Pat") Kiernan (born 1968 in Canada) has appeared on New York television as the Morning Anchor of NY1 since 1997. Kiernan has become widely known in the City for his "In the Papers" feature, in which he wryly summarizes the colorful content in Manhattan's daily newsprint.
Kiernan began his news career at 96K-Lite FM while a graduate student at the University of Alberta. In 1996 Kiernan moved to New York City where he has enjoyed success not only in the news industry, but also on the big screen, recently starring as himself in The Interpreter (2005). Kiernan has been featured in numerous publications including New York ("Morning Star", February 5, 2001) and the New York Post ("Dream Job: Pat Kiernan", October 3, 2005). In addition to his morning anchor position, Kiernan also serves as a correspondent for Report on Business Television.
Pat has also hosted two game shows produced by Michael Davies: Studio 7, which aired on The WB Television Network in the summer of 2004; and The World Series of Pop Culture, which began airing on VH1 July 9, 2006.
