Passion and Purity

Passion and Purity: Learning to Bring Your Love Life Under Christ's Control, published in 1984 and written by Elisabeth Elliot, recounts Elliot's romance with missionary martyr Jim Elliot from the 1940s until Jim Elliot's death in 1956. Elliot uses examples from her courtship with Jim to teach about pure, Christian relationships and the practice of waiting on God for timing and direction with romance. Billy Graham's wife, Ruth, wrote the preface.

Joshua Harris, a popular Christian author, cites Passion and Purity as an influence for his 1997 book, I Kissed Dating Goodbye.
