Pasquerilla East Hall, or more commonly "P.E." is one of the 27 residence halls on the campus of the University of Notre Dame. P.E. is located on Mod Quad, named for its modern architecture, and is the farthest northeast of any dorm. P.E. houses 239 undergraduate, female residents.
[edit] Hall History
Constructed in 1981 along with its sister, and rival, dorm Pasquerilla West Hall, P.E. provided much-needed housing for the many women who had only been permitted to attend the university less than 10 years prior in 1972.
The chapel is dedicated to Saint Catherine of Siena, a woman known for her courage, and honored by the Church with the title "Doctor of the Church."
The hall is known for its musical company, formed in 1997 which holds a performance each spring.
