[edit] Location
The station is located located in Downtown San Jose, California on 1st and 2nd Streets just north of East San Carlos St. The northbound platform is on 1st Street; the southbound platform is on 2nd Street.
[edit] Refurbishment project
Paseo de San Antonio is one of the few remaining stations in the system that is not fully wheelchair accessible. The level of the platform is approximately fourteen inches lower than the floor of the light rail vehicle. A temporary wooden ramp was erected to allow wheelchair users to board and deboard via the forward-most door of the forward-most car of the light rail train.[1]
VTA temporarily closed this station for refurbishment on February 27, 2006 to make the station fully wheelchair accessible. The station was scheduled to reopen in autumn of that year, but was reopened early in order to serve traffic arriving for the San Jose Grand Prix. [1]
