User talk:Parelle

Hello, welcome to Wikipedia. Thanks for your contributions. Why not add yourself to the New user log? If you made any edits before you got an account, you might be interested in assigning those to your username.
If you have any questions, see the help pages, add a question to the village pump or ask me on my talk page. I hope you enjoy editing here and being a Wikipedian! Angela. 08:07, Feb 18, 2004 (UTC)
Organizing and cataloging? I think we love you already... <smile> If you're interested, discussion about how to organize sections of the Wikipedia often occurs in the associated WikiProject.
If you're looking for somewhere to start contributing, the article at diplomatic history is short and sparse. I'm sure there's material you could add. A section on the historiography (when has diplomatic history been considered most important, and who considers it important?) might be good. Isomorphic 17:09, 18 Feb 2004 (UTC)
Parelle, I think you're accidentally making a lot of edits without being logged in. Are you User:207.41.174.73? If those are your edits, you might want to claim them. Also, a hint: to make sure you're still logged in before making an edit, you can hit the "Show preview" button. Besides being a good habit for editing purposes, that refreshes the screen, so if the upper right corner still says you're logged in, then that's accurate. If it says you aren't logged in, you've presumably timed out, and need to log in again. You can log in again without interrupting your editing by opening a new window and logging in there.
In case you couldn't guess, I know how this works because I had this problem myself for a while :-)
Happy editing, Isomorphic 18:35, 20 Feb 2004 (UTC)
- Oh, clicking User:207.41.174.73 will bring up an edit page... to see the edits that IP has made, click "User contributions" on the edit page. Isomorphic 18:37, 20 Feb 2004 (UTC)
- That wasn't you? I feel slightly silly then. I just assumed it was, since the anon was working on almost the exact same group of hobbit articles. Apparently my psychic powers just weren't working. Isomorphic 07:00, 21 Feb 2004 (UTC)
- It seems you had either an identical twin or a very bizarre form of stalker. But it's not quite a bad thing... I'd rather like to have someone going around and doing half of all my work. :-) Isomorphic 07:22, 21 Feb 2004 (UTC)
