Partney
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Partney is a small village, around 3 miles north of Spilsby in the Lincolnshire Wolds. It sits on the intersection of the A16 and A158 roads with a recent bypass to cope with holiday traffic to the nearby beach resorts of Skegness, Ingoldmells and Chapel Saint Leonards. The village home is to a small primary school, village hall, grange and church at which Matthew Flinders was wed, a memorial stone stand in the graveyard to this day.
In the past the village has home to a locally famous sheep fair.
