Parral, Chile

Parral is a city in Chile's Linares Province, (Maule Region), about 350 km south of Chile's capital, Santiago. The famous poet and Nobel Prize winner Pablo Neruda was born in Parral in 1904.

Interesting sites in Parral and its environs include a Neruda museum, Laguna de Amargo, the Longaví river, La Balsa, Catillo hot springs, and the Digua and Bullileo reservoirs.
