Parpar Nehmad

Parpar Nehmad (Hebrew: lovely butterfly, referring to a famous nursery rhyme by Fanya Bergstein) is an Israeli children's television program produced by the Israeli Educational TV (IETV), first screened in 1982. It was one of the first colour productions of IETV.
It featurs five main puppet characters, a little fluffy chick named Nuli, a turtle called Batz, a snail named Shabi, a goose called Uzza, and 8-inch foot penguin called Pingy.
The program was presented by two human hosts like: Dudu Zar, Ofra Veingertain, Uzi Hitman, Efi Ben Israel and variety of guests including a memorable performance by Ofra Haza before she attained international recognition.
The program was recognised internationally when it won the best children's TV show award in a competition held in Japan in which 127 productions from different countries participated.
