Parkway West High School

Parkway West High School is a secondary school of the Parkway School District located in Ballwin, Missouri. The school mascot is the Longhorn; the school colors are Columbia blue and red. As of 2006, there are approximately 1,500 students enrolled with an average attendance rate of 92.7%.

Of West High graduates, an average of 97.9% enter post-secondary education, compared with the Missouri average of 68.4%. The average ACT composite score for the school in 2005 was 23.7. The average staff experience is 15.5 years, and 71.6% of staff members have a masters degree or above.

Stone Phillips, salutatorian of the Class of '73, attended Yale University, and now anchors Dateline NBC. Phillips gave the baccelaureate address for the class of '83.

Nikko Smith, who was in the top 12 of American Idol last year.

Travis Stork, Class of '90, of the Bachelor fame graduated from Parkway West High School.

Tuc Watkins, Class of '85, is an actor most famous for his role on One Life To Live.
