The Parkrose School District resides in Portland, Oregon. The district contains four elementary schools, a middle school and a high school.

The school district originated in 1885 as a one room schoolhouse, though the district's name at that time was informal. [1] The district slowly grew into first several classrooms, and later several buildings. As of 3 November 2005 it has 3,505 students enrolled. [2]
