Park taven cinderhill

The Park Tavern pub in Cinderhill remains in 2006 the only pub on the Cinderhill part of Nuthall Road on the boundary between the city and the county of Nottingham. The other two pubs in this part of Nuthall Road were the Red Lion, which was closed down due to a mixture of illegal drug dealing, constant trouble and a lack of interest in someone to take over the tenancy. The other pub the Barleycorn has open and closed several times during the last few months however it remains closed, as there is a lack of interest in from prospective landlords taking over. Both pubs are boarded up for the foreseeable future.

The Park Tavern is old-fashioned traditional working class pub with two sides. The first side mainly serves locals in there with an older crowd. The second bar has a pool table, dart board and you can watch the football on a giant screen.

The Beer remains evenly priced. Special deals on spirits are often available. The Beer is a mixture of Kimberely ale, Guinness and Strongbow cider. Carlin is the main lager on draft.

The pub sells tasty pork scratching and does a good deal on Sunday dinners. There is a high turnover of landlords, which is unfortunate. Pool table is always busy. Although you can have some good times in the Park Tavern there can be pockets of trouble mainly from locals who have been on all day sessions and cannot handle their drink.

There still remains a skittle ally at the back weather it gets used or not remains a mystery.
