Park of the Great Colombia

The Park of the Great Colombia is an historical and tourist complex located in the locality of Villa del Rosario (Cúcuta). It is in the 6th Km of International Highway to Venezuela.

At the moment it has in its interior

1. The House of Santander, where the hero of the independence Francisco de Paula Santander lived his first 13 years.

2. The Historic church, where the Congress of Cúcuta was made, in which wrote up the Constitution of Cúcuta, also well-known like Constitution of 1821, Constitution of Villa of the Rosary, and Constitution of the Great Colombia.

3. The House of the Bagatela, where was the Executive Power in 1821.

4. The Historical tamarind, a tree where the editors of the constitution of the New Granada (Colombia and Panama) and patriotics of Venezuela who rested under their shades after the exhausting meetings. At the moment it conserves itself in perfect conditions.
