[edit] History

One feature of residing in Parkisland is the abundance of dog keeping. Parkisland is among the few private residential estates in Hong Kong which has adopted a more lenient and accommodating policy for dog keeping. Dog keeping is allowed unless complaints from at least two tenants are filed and substantiated to the management office. It is expected that over 500 dogs are being kept on Parkisland. However, tension between dog keepers and non-keepers may rise high arising from disputes over treatment of droppings and barking noises.
