Paremoremo

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Paremoremo is a largely rural locality west of Albany on the northern fringe of Auckland, New Zealand.

Its main claim to fame or notoriety is as home of the country's main maximum security prison, where the most problematical prisoners are often sent, and where "D Block" has a particularly harsh reputation. A recent inmate of wide renown, kept segregated from other prisoners at one stage, was refugee Ahmed Zaoui.
