Parc Jean-Dradeau

The Parc Jean-Drapeau (also called parc des Îles) is situated South of Montreal in Canada, Quebec right in the middle of Saint-Laurent river. It is composed of two island, Saint Helen's Island and Notre Dame Island.
Notre Dame Island greets each year the Grand Prix of Montreal wich takes place on the Circuit Gilles Villeneuve. The Montreal Casino, the Gardens of the Floralies and the old pavillon of canada are also located on this island. In 1967, Notre Dame Island and Montreal were the hostess of the World's Fair.
The parc was renmed in honnor of Jean Drapeau, the old mayor of Montreal and initiator of the Expo '67.
