Summer

Paranaguá is probably Paraná's hottest city in the summer. Temperatures slightly above 40°C (104°F) happen almost every day in January.

Winter

The coolest month of the year is September, with average highs of 22°C and lows of 12°C*.

  • It should noted that these temperatures were measured in this year's winter, which was characterized by a hot and dry air mass over the state of Paraná that made it difficult for cold fronts to naturally develop in the region. Having said that, temperatures were well above average in the winter of 2006.
