Parallelmon is a Mega Level Mutant Digimon. He travels through parallel worlds and in every world he captures DigiDestined/tamers to get more power.

He can travel through parallel universes and traps others in a parallel world, hence his name.

Parallelmon first appeared before the DigiDestined of the Adventure 02 series and when Davis let Veemon attack him, the two are sent to the V-Tamer continuity, while Parallelmon absorbed T.K., Kari, Yolei and Cody. He then also travelled to the V-Tamer world and attacks Davis and Veemon but they are saved by the dimension's Taichi Yagami and his partner, Zeromaru. Because they aren't able to destroy Parallelmon, the group has to flee and then again attacks Parallelmon, especially when Davis finds out that the evil Mutant Digimon has captured his friends. The other DigiDestined then work together from within the beast to recreate the Digi-Egg of Miracles, allowing Veemon to Golden Armor Digivolve to Magnamon. In the meantime, Taichi & Davis came up with a plan to defeat Parallelmon and after Zeromaru beheaded the Mutant it is Magnamon who finally destroys him. Davis and Veemon then return to their continuity as well as all the other DigiDestined who were captured by Parallelmon.
