Paragon is a heavy metal / power metal band from Hamburg, Germany. The band was founded by guitarist Martin Christian. After releasing some demo-tapes and a Mini-CD they could finally release an album in 1994, the debut World Of Sin. Short after this the record company bankrupted, and Martin decided to lay the band on ice for a while.

About two years after Martin found 4 new members (Andreas, Jan, Markus & Claudius) and recorded the album The Final Command In 1999 it was time for the release of Chalice Of Steel. Both albums received good reviews.

In 2001 Paragon started to work on an album with Piet Sielck (Steelbound-album), and Piet has worked with the band on every album since then, sounding better and better for each album. Paragon is one of the leading bands within German-metal bands these days.

The band is writing + recording a new album in 2006 which at the moment has the working title "Forgotten Prophecies". It will be released early 2007.
