Paradise Pier is the home to the fun and thrill attractions at Disney's California Adventure Park, one of two theme parks at the Disneyland Resort. With California Screamin' covering the majority of the land, there are various areas of entertainment for Guests of all ages. With its motto Fun In The Sun For Everyone, Guests get to enjoy the classic beachfront boardwalk of yesteryear. The boardwalk of Paradise Pier was based off the following real life boardwalks in California: Long Beach's "The Pike," "Belmont Park" and "Mission Beach" in San Diego, Venice's "Venice by the Sea," and the "Santa Monica Pleasure Pier" and Pacific Ocean Park Piers in Santa Monica. Despite the name and adjacent location of a lake, Paradise Pier is not actually a pier.
