Parade of the Athletes is the official mix performed by trance artist DJ Tiesto, released on 18 October 2004 (see 2004 in music). This compilation consists of the exact set list when Tiesto performed for the 2004 Olympic Summer games during the Opening games ceremony. This was the first time that a DJ was asked to perform for any ceremony at the Olympics. While performing this set, the Dutch team came up to the booth while Tiesto was performing this set recognizing one of their own. All of the songs on this track are original songs produced by Tiesto, except for Adagio for Strings which he performs his own rendition of Samuel Barber's original version.
