Pando Department

Pando is a department of Bolivia, with an area of 63,827 km². Population (2001 census) 52,525. Its capital is the city of Cobija.
As recently as the early 1980s, there were still sections of Pando unexplored by those of European descent -- who returned to tell the tale, at any rate.
The department is divided in 5 provinces.
