Panacea is German producer and dj Mathis Mootz (born August 19, 1976 in Wetzlar, Germany) , who specializes in dark drum & bass, often bordering on hardcore. He served an apprenticeship in classical music and was a member of the boy's choir of Windsbach, then he served an apprenticeship at the Audio Engineering School. With his first LP „Low Profile Darkness“ he caused a stir in the drum'n'bass-scene.

He lives and produces in Sommerhausen, a countryside town near Würzburg.
