[edit] History
Pan Fish was founded in 1992 with a strategy to acquire many fish farms domestically and abroad. By 1997 the company was listed on Oslo Stock Exchange. But at the turn of the millenium the bottom fell out of the fish marked, and Pan Fish, who had a high debt financing, was forced to sell out parts of the company and refinance its debt. As of 2005 the John Fredriksen company Geveran Trading Co controlled 47% of Pan Fish. As of July 6, 2006 Fjord Seafood was delisted from Oslo Stock Exchange and became a wholly owned subsidiary of Pan Fish.
