[edit] Early Career

She is a former pupil of Trinity College, Carmarthen studying divinity, drama and history [1], going on to teach in Olchfa Comprehensive School, Bryngwyn Comprehensive School, and Llanelli Boys Grammar School, now known as the Graig Campus, Coleg Sir Gâr. Her last position was at Coedcae Comprehensive School, in Llanelli, Wales.

[edit] Peace Mala

Pam Evans begun Peace Mala in the year 2002 during her time as Head of the Department of Religious Studies in Coecae Comprehensive School. The idea came after a class discussion about the events of the terrorist attacks of Tuesday, September 11th.

Islamaphobia had increased dramatically, something which was apparent when one of her own pupils, Imran Sheikh, had been receiving racial taunts at school and his local mosque had been attacked.

In 2005, she gave up her position in Coedcae to focus on her work with the Peace Mala.
