Palnackie

Palnackie is a village in the Parish of Buittle, in the Stewartry of Kirkcudbright in Scotland. Since 1995 it has been in Dumfries and Galloway Council Administrative Region.
It has a population of around 250.
There is one school, one shop, including a post office. There is one public house and a restaurant.
There are several other businesses based here including two building contractors, decorator, and road haulage firm.
Palnackie hosts the Grande Internationale World Flounder Tramping Championships in late July or early August every year.
