The Palmyre Zoo is one of the most popular zoos in France and one of the most recommended in Europe. It was created in 1966 in the commune of Rochefort by its founder Claude Caillé. The zoo is always trying to improve the quality of the animals lives and it plays an important role in reintroducing animals into their natural habitats.
