The Palm Beach Currumbin Clinic is a the largest private psychiatric hospital in Queensland, and is located on the southern end of the Gold Coast, adjacent to the beautiful Currumbin Bird Sanctuary. It was acquired by Healthscope in April 2001. It is by appointment only, and requires GP or psychiatrist referral and for an assessment to be made before admitting. For this reason, all acute and serious psychiatric problems should be taken to the nearest hospital for treatment.
