Pallavaram is a city and a municipality in Kancheepuram district in the Indian state of Tamil Nadu. It is a suburb of Chennai and is located near Tambaram, a hub for suburban trains within Chennai and also to trains bound south. It is major residential area.
Its surrounding areas include Pammal, Anakaputhur, Pozhichalur, Nagalkeni etc. Pallavaram is also a roadways hub as all buses coming to Chennai from the south have to pass through this place. It is dangerously crowded during peak hours.
Pallavaram in recent times has grown significantly and has become one of the favorite residential areas. With 200 ft road being constructed it becomes a strategic location with easy access to Old Mahabalipuram Road (New Chennai) and Grand South Trunk (GST) Road. The famous schools and colleges nearby adds flavor to it. With popular builders likes Jain housing[1] , Chitra construction developing huge property this place draws much attention.
