PalestineFacts

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

PalestineFacts.org is an internet site which purports to give "comprehensive source of historically accurate information about the geographic, military and political background to the on-going struggle between the State of Israel and the Arab Palestinians". There has never been a mention on the website of who funds or edits the web-site. Contact information for the web-site is given as "Mogen David Services" in California[1]

Though undisclosed on its website, Palestinefacts was in fact started as a project of the Jewish Internet Association [2] in 2002. JIA (Jewish Internet Association) described itself a non-profit 501(c)(3) California Public Benefit Corporation "dedicated to the educational purpose of providing truthful, positive information to combat anti-Semitism and anti-Israel activity on the Internet".[3] Sep 25, 2002

Among the project JIA has supported is the website called Hasbara.com [4]

The President of JIA was Chuck Chriss. He is a frequent contributor to New York Jewish Times, with articles strongly supporting Israel, e.g. defending Israeli settlements "Nothing Settled About Settlements" 12-7-2002 [5], [6], [7]

By 2004 JIA had merged/changed names to Middle East Facts[8], [9]
