Palemon
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Palemon (Палемон, Паламон, Палямон, Apolon, Palemonas) was a fabulous Prince of Venice who came to Lithuania. According to a fake genealogy of the 16th-century Bychowiec Chronicle, he was the forefather of Palemonids and Gediminids. Palemon is not mentioned in any medieval source.
Palemonas, one of the microdistricts of Kaunas, and the official Lithuanian font was named after him.
