Paldi

Paldi is an area located in Ahmedabad, India. One of the premier design schools in India - The National Institute of Design is located in Paldi.

Paldi, BC, Canada (near Duncan, on Vancouver Island) was founded by Mayo Singh in 1906, who named it after his home town in Punjab state, India. It began as a logging camp, and developed into a mill town, which was populated by Indians, Japanese and Chinese workers and their families. Today Paldi is a small quiet place with just a few houses. The original Sikh temple remains.
