Palazzolo dello Stella is a comune (municipality) in the Province of Udine in the Italian region Friuli-Venezia Giulia, located about 60 km northwest of Trieste and about 30 km southwest of Udine. As of 31 December 2004, it had a population of 3,072 and an area of 34.4 km².^[1]

The municipality of Palazzolo dello Stella contains the frazioni (subdivisions, mainly villages and hamlets) Modeano, Piancada, and Polesan.
