Palais de Glace
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
The 'Palace de Glace' is a historical 1910 French-style building of the Recoleta neighbourhood, located at Posadas 1725 of Buenos Aires, Argentina.
Originally built for ice skating, the building soon started hosting tango events causing protests among the bourgeois elite which later faded as tango gained social acceptance as a new art form.
The building is now known for art exhibitions and for its historical contribution to tango having hosted famous tango dancers, compositors and musicians of the early age of tango.
