Palaemon may refer to
- A genus of shrimp
- the birth name given to the Greek hero Herakles and the name he used until the Pythoness at Delphi first addressed him as Herakles when he sought a cure for his madness. (Robert Graves, Greek Myths 122.d.)
- The Greek hero Melicertes, the son of the Boeotian prince Athamas and Ino, daughter of Cadmus was later called Palaemon.
- One of the Argonauts, a son of Hephaestus and a mortal, was named Palaemon.
