Paladin Academy, known also as Paladin Academy High School, opened its doors in 1983 in Hollywood, Florida. Catering to students who suffer from Attention-Deficit Disorder (ADD), Attention-Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) and Dyslexia, it was originally known as the Developmental Resource Center (DRC) when it was first created by Dr. Deborah Levy.
[edit] History
Accredited by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools, control of the facility and it's two sister schools in the South Florida region were taken over by Nobel Learning Communites Inc. (NLCI) in 1998. Since that time, the unique methodologies and techniques used in helping students to overcome their learning challenges have spread nationwide with Paladin Academy programs integrated into over ten regular education schools by the end of 2000.
