1945 -The 58th. Troop began to function at Telok Kurau sponsored by Rev. Father C. Gauthier , parish priest if the Church of the Holy Family, soon it was revived by Mr. Charles Richards also known as the famous Green Pigeon.

1946- When Rev. Brother Canice Brennan, the first post-war director and principal of St. Patricks asked Mr. Terance Aeria to form a junior scout troop. In March 1946, a scout troop was formed with the 58th Troop Junior scouts forming their nucleus. -The Troop held its first camp at the Lee property at Pasir ris in August -Brother Canice then negotiated with Green Pigeon to transfer the remainder of the 58th troop to St Patricks. -Finally in Septemver 1946 scouting was established in St. Patrick's. The Troop was renamed the 12th St. Patrick's and Green Pigeon was its first Group Scoutmaster. -A Rover Crew was formed, Mr T.O Areria, christined "Bamboo" became acting Rover Scout Leader.

1947- A cub pack was formed for lads from eight to eleven by Brigader T.D. Campbell, later Principal of St. Stephens School. He was their first AKELA or Cubmaster. -With four sections complete, The cubs, Scouts, ventures, rovers. The 12th became a complete scout group, with Bamboo as the Group Scoutmaster as Green Pigeon has became the first district commissioner of the east district. -Before green pigeon left, he coined the famous motto- "PAJIGWAD" which meant "Stick to it!". -As a tribute to Green Pigeon, the group scarf was redsigned with a green pigeon as its outstanding feature.

1950s -The 12th. Pajigwad scout troop was growing to from strength to strength

MID-50s- Two senior sea scout patrols were formed and sea scouting was established to St. Patricks. -A den made of corrugated zinc was put up next at the present basketball court, it was aptly named the "House Of Bamboo" after the Group Scoutmaster then.

1958-1959- Scouts went places, they attended the Pan-Pacific Jambooree in Victoria, Australia, 50th Scouting Jamboree at Sutton Park, Birmingham, England and were included in the first Singapore National Contingent in the 10th. world jamboree in Luzon in Philippines. -Mr T.O Aeria "bamboo" was the Assistant Chief Commissioner by then.

EARLY-60s -The 12th pajigwad underwent many changes, scouting in Singapore was re-organised and the 12th. Found itself in a new district Katong. -Rover Scouting was withdrawn from the scouting set-up and the Pajigwad rover crew went out of existence. -St. Patrick's became a Secondary school, so the Cub Pack, renamed Cadet Scouts, functioned at St. Stephens.

60s ONWARDS With further re-organisation, the 12th. Pajigwad became the 1601 Pajigwad then today, it is known at the Katong 01 Pajigwad Scout Troop, a fitting tribute to the first scout troop in the Katong area.
