Pai Chan is a fictional character in the Sega video game series Virtua Fighter. She is the daughter of Lau Chan, another character in the game.
Pai Chan was born May 17, 1975 in Hong Kong. She is a martial arts action movie star in her hometown, and her fighting style is Ensei-Ken. It is revealed that her favourite hobby is dancing. Even though Pai Chan is from Hong Kong and her native language is Cantonese (specifically the Yuehai dialect), but due to the game's Japanese origin, she is voiced by an actress speaking Japanese.

Throughout Virtua Fighter 1-3, Pai competed in the World Fighting Tournament to defeat her father, Lau, whom she feels was responsible for the neglectful death of her (unnamed) mother. Pai ran away from home as a teenager when her mom died, and two years later garnered success in the movie industry.
Pai Chan competed in the Third World Tournament but was defeated by her father, Lau. She left the Third World Tournament afterwards. Despite her loss, she was a fierce rival of her father in terms of fighting skill. Upon returning home from the Third World Tournament, Pai trained extensively to improve her Hisou-Ken. While training, she learned that Lau had contracted an incurable disease but still planned to participate in the fourth tournament. She dislikes her father and wishes to challenge him as her opponent, determined to prove herself as a worthy successor to his legacy.

Pai Chan wishes to challenge someone who was stronger than ever as a test. She skilled herself to be more powerful like a fighting style in this tournament. Pai meets Janet Marshall in Virtua Cop 2 as a friend and a challenger, she maybe a student of Janet Marshall, as she trains her for an upcoming training skill.

In Virtua Fighter Kids, Pai is depicted as a young girl (six to eight years old). In this variant of Virtua Fighter 2, she is seen as a martial arts child actress, working on a movie with super deformed depictions of the Virtua Cop characters. Pai Chan was the friend of Janet Marshall in Virtua Cop 2. She and Janet challenged each other so that they both could stronger than ever. She dislike other getting involved into this fight.

Pai has had a number of famous quotes and winning poses. The most notable quote of hers is "Anata niwa kunfuu ga tarinai wa" translated from Japanese as "You don't know what I've been through." This quote has been used since Virtua Fighter 2 to associate with Pai.
