Wikipedia:Pages needing attention/Art

[edit] Art

  • Monochrome painting (was Meditative art) - needs grammar and format work, detailed information on separate artists should be moved to articles about the particular artist by someone who knows who is important. rhyax 06:12, 1 Sep 2004 (UTC)
  • I did some grammar/punctuation and formatting emendation. Feel free to tell me on my talk page if it is any good. I didn't move the artists to artist pages because I don't know much about who's important. Cromwellt 22:53, 11 Dec 2004 (UTC)

[edit] Artists

  • Illustrator Brian Froud needs expansion by someone familiar with his life & work -FZ 20:39, 15 Sep 2004 (UTC)
  • Western calligraphy - currently mostly just a history of writing systems in the west. Pyrop 00:41, Nov 2, 2004 (UTC)
  • Waita Uziga - I can't really tell, but is the string of obscenities on this page an accurate translation, or has somebody corrupted this article? — RJH 20:39, 12 Nov 2004 (UTC)
I think that is what they call vandalism.

[edit] Photography

*Digital Camera seems to have been written by someone who is not fluent in English, or who understands Digital cameras. For example, "To store video, they integrates a DVD recorder." - this claim was made of all digital cameras. --Hywel 18:44, Nov 27, 2004 (UTC)

: Would it be OK to merge/redirect "digital camera" into Digital photography ? -- DavidCary 15:48, 4 Dec 2004 (UTC)

The Digital Camera article reads very much like someone with a shaky grasp of the language has attempted to summarise parts of the Digital Photography article without including anything useful. Suggest changing the name of the Digital Photography article to "Digital Photography and Digital Cameras" (since it covers both and it'll provide a nice hook for scanning search results) and delete the current Digital Camera article. Apologies if this comment is missing something, or is out of turn - I've not tried this before! 7 Dec 2004 - Been done. -Trick 22:37, 24 Dec 2004 (UTC)

  • Rollout photography - needs expansion of history before 1972, more attention & POV cleanup, from someone familiar with the subject. -FZ 18:13, 22 Jul 2004 (UTC)
