Padonki

Padonki (Russian: падонки - riff-raff, scoundrel, scum) refers to a subculture within the Russian-speaking Internet originating on Udaff, which is characterized by choosing alternative spellings for words for comic effect (or, according to some, to cover up poor knowledge of the correct spelling), as well as gratuitous use of profanity and a penchant for obscene subjects. The term padonki itself illustrates the trend - it's an alteration of podonki (Russian: подонки).
