Pablo Chinchilla

Pablo Chinchilla Vega (born December 21, 1978 in San José, Costa Rica) is a Costa Rican soccer defender, who currently plays for SC Rheindorf Altach in the Austrian Bundesliga.
Chinchilla played for LD Alajuelense, winning the CONCACAF Champions' Cup in 2004. He played for the Ticos on various youth levels, and was a late addition to their 2002 World Cup squad, replacing the injured Reynaldo Parks.
At junior level, he played in 1997 FIFA World Youth Championship.
He joined Los Angeles Galaxy of Major League Soccer prior to the 2005 season. His stay in the USA was largely unsuccessful and he returned to Alajuelense after the season. In summer 2006 he joined Austrian club SC Rheindorf Altach.
As of early 2005, he has been capped 34 times for his country, scoring 1 goal.
